Your Business Does Not Need Just A Website. It Needs A System
Most businesses do not have a website problem. They have three separate purchases — a site, some ads, a chatbot — that were never designed to work together. Here is what a connected system looks like, and four questions that tell you which one you have.

A business owner came to us last year with three logins and three invoices. One agency had built the website. A freelancer was running the ads. Someone's cousin had set up a WhatsApp auto-reply. Every part worked. None of them knew the others existed.
The ads sent traffic to a page that took six seconds to load. The auto-reply answered questions the website had already answered, in different words. Nobody could say what a lead cost, because the tracking had never been connected to anything.
That is the real problem. It is almost never "we need a website". It is that building, marketing and day-to-day operations are treated as three separate purchases, so nobody is accountable for the result they were meant to produce together.
Three parts, one system
At CodeDarbar we work across all three, because the handover between them is where most of the value leaks out.
| AreaWhat we deliverBusiness outcome | ||
| Build | Websites, web apps, WordPress, Shopify, eCommerce, plugins and mobile apps | A foundation that loads fast and can be found |
| Grow | SEO, GEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, content and conversion funnels | Qualified traffic that arrives ready to buy |
| Automate | AI chatbots, WhatsApp assistants, AI agents and workflow automation | Fewer repeat questions, faster replies |
What we build
Custom websites and SaaS platforms. WordPress sites, themes and plugins. Shopify and WooCommerce stores. eBay listing templates. React and Next.js applications, React Native apps, business dashboards and internal tools — plus the APIs, databases and integrations that hold them together.
How we help you grow
Technical and local SEO. Generative Engine Optimization, so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers can actually read and cite you. Google and Meta advertising, landing pages and conversion funnels, content strategy, and the analytics that tell you which of those is working.
How we automate
Website and WhatsApp chatbots. Support assistants trained on your own documents rather than generic answers. AI agents that handle bookings, quotes and CRM updates. Invoice and form processing, automated follow-ups, and n8n, Zapier or custom workflows where an off-the-shelf tool will not fit.
One caution, because it saves money: not everything should be automated. If a task happens twice a month and takes four minutes, automating it costs more than it returns. Automation earns its keep on volume and on things that happen at 11pm when nobody is at a desk.
How to tell which one you have
Four questions. If you cannot answer them, you have three projects rather than a system.
- Where did your last five enquiries come from? Not roughly — specifically, by source.
- How long does your homepage take to load on a phone on mobile data? Ad spend does not survive a slow page.
- What happens to an enquiry that arrives on a Friday night? If the answer is "we see it Monday", that is the leak.
- If you searched for what you sell, in your city, would you appear? In Maps, in Google, and in an AI answer — those are three different questions now.

The advantage is not the list. It is having one accountable partner — so when the ads underperform, nobody spends a week arguing about whether it is the landing page or the targeting.
Where to start
Usually with whichever part is leaking hardest. A slow site makes marketing expensive, so it goes first. A site that nobody can find does not need automation yet. And if enquiries already arrive faster than you can answer them, automation is the cheapest hire you will ever make.
If you are not sure which one that is, tell us what is happening and we will say so plainly — including when the honest answer is that you do not need us yet.
